Becoming a lecturer is indeed a challenging job. People who say that lecturers get good pays and reasonable workload are totally clueless. Fact that some of us get paid lesser than a factory worker might actually make them laugh out load and some may be in disbelief. We lecturers had to deal a lot of human emotions and attitudes, which to some extend could be very uncontainable and very irritating. Especially to us who works on a private higher educational institution which as known to all most of the students are equiped with excellent attitude.
But being a lecturer isn't all about stress and tense. It's the job satisfaction that we are after and that's why we never bother bout the workload though sometimes it does come out of hand. Being able to hand down your knowledge to others and knowing that you are appreciated by them gave you the feeling of satisfaction....
Though being a lecturer is a never ending job, or I'd say it's a process of never ending learning....I love my job very much and very proud of being a lecturer!
and I love my students very much...no matter where they are, no matter what challenge they are facing in the harsh, real world...just take good care of yourself :)
